Bear

Greg “BEAR” Perone, Equipment Manager, North Carolina
Bear came on board with us in 2005 and brought a wealth of knowledge and experience with all phases of heavy equipment and trucks from welding to repairs. Greg came to North Carolina in 1993 from Connecticut and he worked for several well known companies in the area including Hanson aggregate for 5 years. He has worked long hours keeping all our North Carolina equipment in good shape and ready for action. In his free time he enjoys riding his Harley, and going to the Mountains.

Walt CofiellWalt Coffiel, Equipment Manager
When Walt first started at the company is 2005, we did not have a very good handle on the condition of some of our equipment. Walt now knows intimately the condition of each and everyone of the fifty pieces of equipment and thirty trucks under his supervision like they were his own. He puts in long hours keeping them operational and in the tip-top shape. Walt was also a co-winner of the Extra Effort Award in 2006. He and his wife, Winona, live in Sparks.

Rusty Gaines, Operator, Project Manager Assistant
Rusty is a very talented person who joined the company after attending Randolph- Macon College. He has run all types of equipment, has helped Walt with equipment maintenance and just about any other thing that pops up. We know he will become an even bigger contributor in the years ahead. He is currently assisting the estimating department and project managers.

Brian Pettie, Yard & Transportation Manager
Brian has been one of the company’s most dedicated employees since he started in 1990. Beginning as a laborer on Rod Naylor’s crew, he advanced to operating loaders, followed by truck driving, to now, managing the whole yard and storage area. He makes sure the right trench boxes, fuel tanks, and equipment get to the right jobs when needed. Brian puts in many long days getting everything prepared for our site crews. He is the 2006 co-winner of the Extra Effort Award, an honor he richly deserved. Brian lives in Dundalk with his wife, Jacquelyn.

Eileen Barr, Head Bookkeeper
Eileen joined the company in 1997 and immediately brought her sunny disposition, a can-do attitude, and knowledge of all aspects of accounting. To put it simply, she keeps the buses and trains running, accounting-wise, with a smile. She lives in Timonium with her husband Steve, and daughter Stephanie.

Cindy Vincenti
Cindy came to Gaines and Company in 2001 and is an expert in accounts receivable. She gets all the invoices out, explains discrepancies to the customers and ensures that all the bills are promptly paid. She also helps with many other tasks, including job analysis, insurance issues and occasionally payroll. It is a pleasure having someone who appreciates the value of consistency and accuracy and achieves those goals every day.
