Miracle League
The Miracle League field is a baseball diamond designed to serve physically challenged kids by creating a field that is totally accessible, utilizing specialty surfacing materials. After learning about the national organization from Withers & Ravenel, Gaines and Company joined forces with a team of contractors led by Tony Withers to help create such a field in Wake County. All of our construction work was donated to this cause.
This project won an award from American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina, Engineering Excellence Awards Competition, 2007.

Maryland “Party For the Cure”
This spring Gaines and Company sponsored a party for the Muscular Dystrophy held at the Engineer’s Club in Baltimore. Fox 45’s Jennifer Gilbert served as the M.C.
A Hero’s Welcome Home
Joey Bozik is a disabled veteran from the Iraq War. L & M Fuquay, a Gaines affiliate company, donated a lot to Joey Bozik and his wife, Jayme in the Southern Oaks Subdivision in Fuquay-Varina, N.C. Through the efforts of North Carolina Division V.P. David Gaines, the house was built for Joey and Jayme with donations from many suppliers, subcontractors and site builder Royal Oaks.
A festive “Welcome Home” celebration with much fanfare included Senator Elizabeth Dole, the NC State Dance Squad, the 42nd Airborne band and choir, and the Flying Angels who actually parachuted onto the site from 10,000 feet!
