Gaines was awarded the complete site package for Germantown Park in Montgomery County, Maryland. This project, located on the east side of town, is a rehab of an aged retail site. This is a green project as old foundations, curbs and asphalt paving will be crushed and reused in the new roads. The project includes 65,000 CY of excavation and 55,000 yards of export to be handled by Gaines crews. There will be a sand filter and 8 micro bio retention facilities in accordance with the latest Maryland storm water designs.
The underground utilities include 4,000 LF of 4-12” sewer, 25 sewer manholes and 104 connections. There will be 2,500 LF of 4-8” D.I.P. water mains, 20 valves, 10 fire hydrants and 104- 1 ½’ water services. MT Laney will be installing the 7,700 SY of paving using the retreated asphalt. Likewise, Brother will install the 6,000 LF of curb and gutter.
