Gaines is a subcontractor to Potts & Callahan on this extremely challenging “infill” site on Philadelphia Road. A long storm drain outfall had to be laid along Route 7 that required major traffic control and the tunneling of many live utility lines. Gaines had to coordinate with Baltimore Gas & Electric to hold 9 telephone poles while we excavated alongside. Ron Rogers led the effort on this extremely challenging portion of the job.
Also of note on this job is a 192 LF precast sand filter 18 feet wide and 8’ high. This is a very unique method of storing storm water.
