JOB POSITION:
HR Operations Specialist
Gaines & Company, a Maryland legacy construction company, is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to own the HR work end-to-end for our Maryland workforce.
We want our HR Operations Specialist to be in the work, partnering with our Safety Director, Field Supervisors, Payroll Administrator and supporting a bilingual workforce. This role will also partner with our North Carolina and Delaware offices. This is a role for someone who wants to build credibility, create structure, and make HR work in the real world.
You’ll independently handle core HR operations and compliance audits, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits, while helping us build HR structure that works in a construction environment. You will also support recruiting efforts and back up payroll as needed.
What we need:
- 3–5 years of HR experience
- SHRM or HRCI certified
- Comfortable in both office and field settings
- Strong organization and sound judgment
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Compensation: $65K–$75K + benefits
