Maryland Employee Prioritizes Safety Through Changing Work Environments

Foreman Nick Bowman said: “Skylar has been a great example of how to work safely in a changing environment. The work we have recently been doing requires a lot of labor near heavy equipment. Skylar has been outstanding at adapting to the work and doing it safely, all while keeping a good attitude.”

Safety Director Dominic Pope said: “Skylar does a great job of being aware of his surroundings. He always wears his PPE and closely follows safety procedures to ensure the safety of not just himself, but his entire crew.”

In both the Maryland and North Carolina divisions, Safety Excellence Achievement Awards are given on a quarterly basis to employees who go above and beyond in their dedication to safety. All quarterly awardees are eligible for the Year-End Safety Excellence Award recognition.
