Throughout our 70+ year history, Gaines and Company has had a lot of stories to tell. This year was no different. We’ve worked in new areas, completed some of our favorite projects, stepped off job sites and into communities, and graciously received several awards.
When we looked at your favorite stories from the year, we loved what we saw. See for yourself!
Gaines and Company worked on another K. Hovnanian Homes development – North Pointe Commons – with Tamarack Land Development. Our scope of work includes sediment controls, storm drain, water, and sewer. We will then put the finishing touches on the site development work with curb and paving.
#4. Breaking Ground On A Groundbreaking Project In Wake Forest, NC
Gaines and Company started grading and excavation on the Wake Forest Exchange project – a 30-acre site in Wake Forest, North Carolina. This development will be home to a mixed-use business community that will provide business opportunities for the local community.
Party for a Cure isn’t just an event; it’s a lifeline and a catalyst for change for those affected by muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related debilitating diseases. Lee Gaines and the rest of the Gaines and Company team have supported PFAC for years!
Sussex Conservation District (SCD) recognized Gaines and Company with the 2025 Conservation Stewardship Award (CSA) for demonstrating a commitment to not only meet, but exceed, regulatory requirements regarding environmental conservation while working in Sussex County, Delaware.
When a Gaines crew in Maryland saw potential in one young man, they knew they didn’t want to let him go. So, they suited him up in some PPE and got him on his own equipment. Now they just have to wait a couple years – no, no— decades until he’s ready to join the workforce.
We are grateful to have had the opportunity to continue serving the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions throughout Maryland, North Carolina, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. We look forward to what 2026 has in store for us!
