(Safety) Santa Visits Gaines Crews

Ho, ho, ho! Once again, our crews were visited by Santa – Safety Santa!

Gaines and Company’s pipe and grading crews throughout its Maryland and North Carolina locations paused work this December to enjoy a holiday treat. Our teams shared food as they celebrated Gaines’s 2025 achievements and discussed 2026 goals. They also competed in a safety-related trivia game to earn safety bucks, which can be used in Gaines’s E-Safety Shop.

“Our crews work so hard, and our statistics from this year show what a great job they are doing,” said Safety Manager Tommy Trent. “It was nice to celebrate them in a relaxed environment while discussing how we can continue this momentum throughout the new year.”

“There was a consistent theme in our discussions throughout all the sites we visited – their commitment to safe work,” said Safety Director Dominic Pope. “Our crews don’t work safely just because management tells them to. They work this way because they care about their work, their own health and safety, and the health and safety of the rest of the crew.”

Great job to the entire Gaines and Company organization in 2025 for a successful year. Let’s make 2026 another great one!
