Fueling up our Dump Trucks for Meadows at Westmore

Gaines is firing up our excavators and fueling up our dump trucks because we have dirt to haul – approximately 300,000 cubic yards to be exact! To put it in other terms, that’s around 30,000 loads of dirt that our dump trucks will take off-site for just one portion of the Meadows at Westmore turnkey site development project.

Meadows at Westmore is a home development project for Stanley Martin Homes that we started in January 2026. This three-phase project spans 60-acres in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and will consist of 262 townhomes and 14 single family homes.

Gaines is responsible for the successful delivery of site development services, including land clearing, sediment controls, grading, underground utilities (sanitary sewer and water), storm drain, storm water management, curb and paving.

“To help us complete this work, we called upon some of our trusted subcontractors who we know will safely meet the client’s schedule with quality work,” said Project Manager Tighe Harrison. “Special thanks to Magstone (sediment controls), Griffith Brothers (retaining walls), Ruhlman Brothers (curb), and MT Laney (paving).”

We anticipate wrapping up the Meadows at Westmore project in the Summer of 2027.
