Maryland Operator Cesar Donal Receives Safety Award After Only Months of Working for Gaines

Cesar Donal (right) may still be new to the Gaines crew, but his safety efforts are not going unrecognized, as he was recently awarded Maryland’s Q1 Safety Excellence Achievement Award from Foreman Jeremy “Hoss” Henry (left).

Recipient: Cesar Donal

Title: Grading Excavator Operator, Grading Crew

Years with Gaines and Company: 9 months

Gaines Division: Maryland

Certifications: Heavy Equipment Operator

Nominated for: Being extremely attentive to safe work and going above and beyond to prevent issues

Foreman Jeremy “Hoss” Henry said: “In his short time with us so far, Cesar consistently impresses me with his awareness of safe work. He always wears his PPE, checks his equipment before work, and goes above and beyond to make sure there are no damages or issues while excavating.”

Safety Director Dominic Pope said: “The work Cesar does is not easy. He is out there moving a lot of dirt every single day, but he is great at it! We know we can count on him to work safely, day in and day out.”
