Gaines and Company Receives NCI’s Risk Control Award of Excellence

Gaines and Company accepted the NCI Risk Control Award of Excellence for its outstanding safety performance throughout both its Maryland and North Carolina locations.

Gaines and Company was excited to once again receive the National Contractors Insurance Ltd. (NCI) Risk Control of Excellence Award.

Gaines was awarded this recognition for meeting or exceeding benchmarks set by the captive for the construction industry. This criterion is based off worker performances throughout Gaines and Company, incorporating employees based out of both the Maryland and North Carolina offices.

“Your efforts in risk control have resulted in superior performance in the NCI program, as demonstrated by effective safety programs, favorable claims experience, and participation in risk control workshops and other loss prevention activities,” read NCI’s congratulatory letter accompanying the award.

“Receiving this award says a lot about our safety program as a whole,” said Safety Director Dominic Pope.

Safety Manager Tommy Trent, who is based out of Gaines’s North Carolina office, added, “It’s a big enough challenge to have a cohesive safety program throughout one geological location, but it’s an entirely different feat to have this same unified safety performance spread throughout multiple locations. We are really proud of that!”
